Lookalike Audiences
It is no secret that you can create all
type of lookalike Audiences based on percentage.
Most people go for the small percentage
because it is more "accurate" and not that broad.
That may be true but if you think about
it for a second 99.99% of advertisers are going for the same lookalike audiences
(the lower percentage).
Based on this
logic, Smart advertisers will leave most people fight for the low hanging fruit
and go for the the next level LLA's ( 5%+)
Here are the results of a test I did
recently:
You can clearly see
the difference in the cost per purchase!!
That also works for international
traffic and it works on the lower quality traffic (not buyers but just visitors).
This is amazing right?!!
Leverage social proof in your ads:
- Link all your ad sets to the same ad post
- When you duplicate an ad set or create a new one, make sure you hit the "use existing post" and enter the post ID for the ad post.
- If doesn't really matter what the campaign objective is in most cases, you can use the same ad (unless it is a video and the post is an image type of scenarios)

It still amazes how even semi advanced
FB guys don't do this.
Make sure, again, that your ad sets are
linking to the same ad.
Facebook uses a post purchase survey
With the new
Facebook post purchase survey, things are getting complicated.
Based on the results of the Survey,
Facebook will decide if they will lower or increase your CPM .
And this is their way to kick you out of facebook politely!
We had a
product that people kind of expected a miracle when using it and the video had
a little hollywood touch I may say.
Anyhow, The survey had a great results
in the Shipping and Customer Support Department and had mediocre results in the
Product quality part and as a direct result people opted for not recommending
the product.
Therefore FB decided that CPM's should
increase. and we are talking about up to $120 increase. The Survey results were the deciding factor.
With that being said, please make sure
to:
- Have your shipping on point
- Have your customer support on point
- Have quality products to sell
- No false claims when selling
- No deceptive marketing in the extreme cases.

Double check all of those especially
when scaling.
When to kill or scale an ad set?
First and foremost, 3 days minimum
before looking at the ad set!
Then after that it really depends on how
many impressions you have on that particular ad or ad set.
We look for a minimum of 10,000
impressions!
So if you run 3 days and you don't have
10K impressions, YOU WAIT for 10K impressions minimum!
If you run 2 days and you have 15K
impressions, you wait for the 3 days.
If you run 3 days and you have 10K
impressions minimum, you decide what to do with that ad set either scale it or
kill it.
Document your processes
Document your tests, document everything you pretty
much do in your business.
Yes, Document what you do with your ads. Why you want
to do that ?
It will be easier to measure.
It is easy to replicate, it is easier to scale.
You will have something actually on paper to tweak and
optimize. (not just ads)
You will know what works and what doesn't in your
business.
“What gets measured gets managed.”
“What doesn’t get measured doesn’t get managed.”
“What gets measured gets done.”
“To measure is to know.”
Once you know, you can bank hard, and I am guessing
that's what most of us want.
Increasing your
ROI doesn't mean just optimizing your ads.
Is 99% based on fixing the leaks in your business.
Leaks may be and not limited to:
- Email flows
- Chatbot flows
- Conversion rate
- Cart Abandonment
- Landing pages
- People
- Systems
- Processes
- Paying for crap you don't need
- Cost of goods
- Merchant account fees
- and so on...
I've seen a store where the ROI went
from 20% to 35% without touching the ads.
Same ads running over 6 weeks.
We just focused
on what happens after the click and everything else besides ads.
Now guess who can afford more to go wild
on ads
What leaks did you fix in your business?

- Conversion rate

When you have a lot of comments “read them”
That’s a gold mine!
And then test with another ad copy. And
instead of benefits go with addressing objections right in the ad.
ie.
Doesn’t do this
Doesn’t do that
Ships Fast
Etc…
Doesn’t do that
Ships Fast
Etc…
Results
will be amazing!

The first 10
seconds of your video are important.
The first 3 seconds are even MORE IMPORTANT.
The first 3 seconds are even MORE IMPORTANT.
If you fail to hook people within 0-3
seconds, your video will not perform as good as it is suppose to be.
Have your product benefits in the first
10 seconds.
What is in for them in the first 10 seconds.
Pain points or problems in the first 10 seconds
What ever it is that will make them stay and watch the video.

Keep your videos shorter than 60 seconds
(90 seconds max) for an impulse buy product.
Unless you are educating, that's another story.

Your Thumbnail is also super important
!!
Pro Tip1: You can use as much text as
you want in your video as long as the Thumbnail/first screen is less than 20% .
Pro Tip2: Use the link ad video , videos
with CTA Button.
Pro Tip 3: Go to youtube and type
"80's infomercials, 90's informercials, products informercials"
Check their structure, it is all the same and they have been and still doing it for over 40 years. and they still sell tons and tons of products daily.
Why ? Because it just works.
